Please note
Providing unforgettable motorbike tours is the core business of our Easy Riders. Most of the services described on this page are provided by suppliers, businesses and families we work with.
Our guides maintain high standards for our collaborations and we work hard to keep this information as accurate and up-to-date as possible, but we cannot guarantee that it is or goes exactly as described here, nor can we be held responsible.
1. Our location in Ha Giang
Our Easy Riders operate from a cozy and convenient home base in the heart of Ha Giang. Your launchpad for riding the Ha Giang Loop. Here’s what you’ll find when you arrive:
- ☕ Coffee & Breakfast Spot – Fuel up with a hot drink and a light bite before you hit the road.
- 🛏️ Rest Beds for Early Arrivals – Arriving on the night bus? We’ve got a few (bunk) beds so you can catch some rest before your tour starts.
- 🚿 Clean Bathroom Facilities – Freshen up before or after your ride with our on-site bathroom.
- 🎒 Secure Luggage Storage – Leave your bags safely at the home base while you’re out exploring the Ha Giang Loop.
- 🧤 Equipment Room – Try on helmets, knee pads, and other protective gear to make sure you’re safe and comfortable.

2. Getting to Ha Giang City by (sleeper) bus
Our Easy Riders can arrange busses to and from Ha Giang City for you (depending on availability). You’ll receive your bus ticket and other relevant information via WhatsApp beforehand. In the sleeper bus, you’ll have your own cabin that comes with curtains for privacy, a pillow, a blanket and a reading light. A smaller bus will usually pick you up at your accommodation if you’re staying in a central area and take you to the bus company’s office to transfer to the sleeper bus.

If you travel during the day or in the evening, the bus company usually uses a limousine bus (12 seats).
Some busses depart multiple times a day. You can let us know your preferred departure time, but it depends on availability if we can comply. Please note: the earlier you book your tour, the bigger the chance you get your preferred bus.
Departure times are estimated. Keep in mind that everyone will be picked up at their accommodation, so if there’s traffic and/or you’re last in line – it might take a while before they get to you. It’s all part of the authentic local experience 😉

3. Private Ha Giang Loop tour
Our Ha Giang Loop tours are private tours. This means we do not group multiple bookings together. Your ‘tour group’ consists of the people you book for and your Easy Rider(s).
If you are together, but book seperately, please mention this in the comment section of the booking form.
4. Luggage during the Ha Giang Loop tour
The roads in the Ha Giang region are very steep. To ensure that our motorcycles can carry all passengers safely to the top, we travel as light as possible. Therefore, big luggage (suitcases, backpacks) will be stored securely at the home base of our Easy Riders in Ha Giang City for the duration of the tour. Bring a small backpack (daypack) with the clothes and things you need during the tour.
➡️ We’ve made a handy packing list to help you.

5. Accommodations during the Ha Giang Loop tour
We stay at hotels, guesthouses, bungalows and homestays – all owned and run by local families. At all accommodations, you’ll have a private (double) room with bathroom. Please note that the single use of a double room comes with an extra cost of €10 per night.
Some examples of the accommodations:

6. Meals during the Ha Giang Loop tour
All our Ha Giang Loop tours include meals during the tour duration; starting with lunch on the first day of the tour and ending with lunch on the last day. Lunch and dinner are usually family-style meals: several vegetable and protein dishes served with steamed rice and/or fries, and fruit.

If you let us know beforehand, we can accommodate a vegetarian, lactose-free and/or gluten-free diet. Because we eat and stay at locally-run establishments, where they work with fresh produce and available ingredients, we cannot guarantee a vegan diet.
A bottle of water per tour day is included with the tour. Other drinks are not included; you can buy these at most viewpoint stops, sights, lunch restaurants and at the overnight accommodations.
7. Protective gear
Safety first – how often do you see motorcyclists back home without proper gear? Right, so why would you neglect your safety in Vietnam? During the tour we provide you with a helmet with visor, knee pads and a full body armour jacket to protect your chest, arms, and back. The jacket has pockets for your phone, sunglasses, etc. It doesn’t matter if you’re sitting behind the guide or drive a motorbike yourself – you’re wearing it.

At the home base of our Easy Riders, there is an equipment room with protective gear in different sizes.
8. After the Ha Giang Loop tour
The tour ends at your accommodation or the home base of our Easy Riders in Ha Giang City to regain your luggage. If we arranged onward travel by sleeper bus for you, this is where you will be picked up by a small bus that will take you to the cabin sleeper bus. There are coffee places, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance if you would like to grab something to eat or drink before you get on the bus.
Departure times are estimated. Keep in mind that everyone will be picked up at their accommodation, so if there’s traffic and/or you’re last in line – it might take a while before they get to you. It’s all part of the authentic local experience 😉
Bus to Hanoi
The cabin sleeper bus to Hanoi leaves at 5 PM, 9 PM and 10 PM. You’ll be picked up about 1 hour before departure. The bus takes 6-7 hours and stops at Noi Bai airport and Mi Dinh bus stop. From Mi Dinh, you can take a (Grab) taxi or transfer to a smaller bus that will drop you off at the Hanoi Opera House in the French Quarter, close to Hoan Kiem Lake.
This bus ticket from Ha Giang City to Hanoi is included with all our Ha Giang Loop tours ending in Ha Giang City. However, it is an optional bus ticket, and there is no discount or refund if you decide not to use it.
Bus to Sapa, Ninh Binh/Tam Coc or Ha Long Bay
Our Easy Riders can help you arrange your onward travel by bus to Sapa, Ninh Binh/Tam Coc or Ha Long Bay. These bus tickets are at your own expense, but there is no extra charge or commission. Just let your Easy Rider know where you want to go next!
9. Our tips: Where to stay and what to do in Ha Giang City
If you’d like to arrange your own overnight accommodation in Ha Giang, we can recommend Vietnamese-owned hotels Royal Hotel (family-owned, prices from €14/night. They don’t offer breakfast, but you can get it right next door at one of the bun cha or banh cuon places) and Yen Bien (big hotel, prices from €35/night including buffet breakfast).
If you have (half) a day to spend in Ha Giang, check out the recently opened Ha Giang Museum, take a stroll along the river Lo and snap a photo at the official Ha Giang Loop starting point. Early evening, it’s great to grab a drink at one of the cafes at Le Quy Don street and watch the locals get their exercise on the town’s square.
